Lacey Bloom, Acrylic, 10"x10", $105

Part of the fun in painting is trying new tools and techniques. You never know what will resonate and take you in a new direction. This painting was done by applying the paint and then blowing through a straw to move the paint. I like the lacey effect.

This painting is in the Small Works Holiday show at the New Mexico Art League from December 5 – January 6, 2018.

"Heuchera", Palace Purple, Watercolor, 16"x20"

I painted this from a coral bells plant in my garden. The shapes appealed to me and I pushed the colors into a stronger design. The painting has shown in the New Mexico Masterworks Exhibition but is currently one of four of my paintings on exhibition at the Cathedral of St. John’s Episcopal Church here in Albuquerque. The exhibition runs through March 6, 2018.
